The A. H. Zeppa Family Foundation is a progressive family foundation established in 2005 in hopes of making a difference locally and regionally by distributing grants to qualifying organizations according to the missions of the trust.
Zeitgeist Arts is an arts based business and complex wholly owned by the Foundation. Consisting of the Zinema 2 (a two-screen independent movie house), the Teatro Zuccone (a 120 seat black box theater), and the Zeitgeist Arts Café (a full service restaurant and bar), Zeitgeist strives to play a positive role in the arts community while also investing in local food producers and helping to spur further investment in downtown Duluth.
Zeitgeist Arts seeks to create socially responsible and environmentally sustainable enterprises that support and celebrate the arts. Proceeds from Zeitgeist Arts are either reinvested in Zeitgeist, or are returned to the Foundation. This structure allows for a continual reinvestment locally and regionally to organizations that support the overall missions of the Foundation.
